Hello LCCEF Members,
LCCEA contacted us and would like to invite all of us for dinner and attend the board meeting on June 1st. Please RSVP for this event. We would like everyone to wear red in support and solidarity for LCCEA while they are in the middle of their bargaining session.
The college is proposing no changes to their COLA of 2.25%. This would result in a net decrease in the value of compensation because of inflation. The College initially proposed to increase class sizes, and cut all part-time faculty. You can see more information on the LCCEA website.
This may be a harbinger of things to come when we bargain with the college next year. We hope you can make it next Wednesday and show the college our strength in unity.
