Hello LCCEF members,
We would like to acknowledge our brothers, sisters, and NB’s in Ukraine who were attacked by Russia on February 22nd. We recognize the Russian people who do not support this war, who are stuck in the middle of a conflict outside of their control. We understand that colonialism still exists, not only within our own country, but also within other sovereign nations. We stand with the sovereign nation of Ukraine, the citizens and their President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
LCC faculty, staff, and students may have immigrated here from Ukraine, and/or have family, colleagues, and friends overseas. The military members and families of military personnel who are stationed in nearby countries. We would like to offer support to these people in these troubling times.
There are many ways that we can contribute to assist those who are still in Ukraine and those that have been able to flee their country. If you are able to contribute here are some links that we have found. If you know of other places where members of our union can assist please include the links in the comments.
