I’d like to start with a note of thanks. To all of our LCCEF members, thank you so much for your support! I am excited to serve our union. To our union officers, it is an honor to join your ranks. I am humbled to be part of such a skilled and dedicated team!

The Eugene Starbucks on 29^th and Willamette is the first in the state to file for a union. As Starbucks workers in Buffalo, NY successfully formed the first union in the company, efforts were made to break their solidarity.

Starbucks corporate management flew in executives and replaced the retail managers inside the store days after workers filed their union paperwork. Mandatory store meetings turned into mandatory anti-union meetings. Management used manipulation and gaslighting tactics to turn the employees against one another. Starbucks previous actions are a harbinger of things to come in South Eugene.

These essential workers need our moral support! If you are a customer, show up wearing some LCCEF gear, strike up a conversation, and let them know they are not alone.
