Bargaining Update (Roll Out Dates) – 11/22/21

Greetings LCCEF Members,

We are thankful to all of you who voted to accept the MOA for the Financial Reopener, as we will all be getting some significant raises for this year and next.  We had hoped to have the increase, and perhaps even the back pay, in time for the holiday season.  Unfortunately, because the vote was a process that took some time to do, we were initially told that we would not receive any increases until January. 

At the Board meeting, I asked about this, as we on EC realize this was a hardship for some.  We have received great news from the college.  We will now get our COLA and possibly our step raise in December, though the back pay portion to July will follow later–January or February.

The college has committed to have the salary changes (step and COLA) be implemented for the 12/23/2021 paycheck (12/1-12/15 payroll period)

The retroactive compensation (7/1/2021-11/30/2021) will be calculated and paid no later than the 2/10/2022 paycheck. 

Thank you to the two classified employees who are doing so much work to make this happen for us, even as our holidays approach, and there are many other things affecting their workload.  We are very grateful to you both and appreciate all the work that you are putting into it for us!
