Are You Registered to Vote?

Today, Tuesday, April 28, is the last day to register to vote in Oregon’s May primary election.
There will be some important issues and local/state races to vote on in May, so we need your participation!
LCCEF has endorsed the Lane Bond Measure, to help with money for campus maintenance and needed facility improvements. If the bond measure passes, it will free up money from the General Fund for other priorities, including COLA and step increases that your EC is bargaining for (this is incredibly important given the current budget situation).

There are also races that will affect our membership, directly and indirectly, and could be decided with the May primary if there is enough of a turnout. This includes labor-friendly candidates for everything from Eugene City Council (LCCEF has endorsed Matt Keating in Ward 2) to Oregon’s Secretary of State race.

We ask all members to go to the Oregon Voter Registration website and spend a few minutes confirming your registration. Then make sure you VOTE in May!!

In Solidarity,
Fiora Starchild-Wolf, LCCEF COPE Chair
and your LCCEF Executive Committee
