Dear Members:
The Lane Community College Employee Federation (LCCEF) has called the yearly election to vote on officers.
Membership in good standing for at least six (6) months and a minimum of ten (10) members nominations are required to be an officer. Nomination forms shall be submitted with signatures of ten (10) members in good standing. Completed nomination forms must be received by the Election Committee Chair No Later than 4:30 p.m. November 15 2019. Nomination Forms will be sent by email to the membership on November 1, 2019, by Don Patton, Elections Committee Chair. (see attached document)

Absentee Voting
Voting will be by Absentee Ballot. All members in Good Standing shall receive a Ballot by Lane campus mail. Ballots will be mailed via inter-campus mail on November 20, 2019. All ballots must be received by the close of the Election, Thursday, December 4, 12:00 p.m. (NOON). A Ballot Box will be placed at IT Help Desk, Bldg 2, Room 114; and Bldg 30, front reception desk (room 103); and DCA Continuing Education, reception area. Ballots may be returned to Don Patton, Elections Chair, in Bldg 02, Room 134.

- President (1 year)
- Vice President of Organizing (1 year)
- Grievance Officer (1 year)
- Records Officer (1 year)
- Officer At Large (1 year)
- 3 members for Audit Committee (2 years) – three positions
- 3 members for Elections Committee (2 years) – three positions
- 3 members for Budget Committee (2 years) – three positions
- Vice President of Labor Relations (2 years)
- Treasurer (2 years)
- Communications Officer (2 years)
- Membership Officer (2 years)
- Chief Labor Delegate (2 years)
- COPE Officer (2 years)
We are offering to post candidates bios on the LCCEF website. Please keep the Bios to 250 words or less.
There will be a forum held November 20th. The Candidates will be given a few minutes to promote themselves and share why they will make a good officer.
Here are some tips on campaigning
- must be done on candidate’s own time
- creating candidate’s own website is legitimate
- running on a slate is legitimate
- candidate must pay for their printed materials (can use P&G)
- current officers cannot use LCCEF logo or other LCCEF branding or resources. (even if you created it!)
