Upcoming Election: Amendment of the Constitution and Bylaws

Greetings LCCEF Membership,

I am writing to you on behalf of the LCCEF Elections Committee. This is to notify the membership of an upcoming vote to amend the Constitution and Bylaws of the LCCEF. Here is a quote from the Chair of the Constitution Committee for additional information:

“The Constitution Committee proposes to amend each of the Constitution and Bylaws in order to allow for a revision process, in addition to the amendment process. We are advocating for this amendment because we’d like to
  • reduce the number of elections required to correct multiple typographic errors in the current constitution and bylaws,
  • simplify the process for modifying large sections of the constitution and bylaws,
  • allow for a single, comprehensive constitution and bylaws review

The proposed changes to both the constitution and bylaws can be found in the attached PDF.”

As in the past we are voting by Absentee Ballot. All members in Good Standing shall receive a Ballot via Lane campus mail. Ballots will be mailed on or before January 28, 2019.
To ensure delivery before the close of the election, we highly recommend that you hand deliver them to a drop box at one of the locations below. For those not on the Main Campus use of Lane mail may be necessary. We recommend you send your ballot back as soon as possible.

Ballots are due by February 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM. Ballot boxes will be available at these locations:
• IT HelpDesk, 02-100A/114
• Lobby of bldg 30
