UNION TRAINING: Defending Workers Post-Janus Build Strong Unions Training Series

Our locals have been pro-active in building membership and a stronger union and we want to remain so as the school/academic year begins. AFT-Oregon is working with the Oregon AFL-CIO to present organizing trainings this month in Corvallis, Eugene/Springfield, Portland, and Salem. These trainings will help members to communicate about our union and our issues with fellow workers. Please notify any stewards, activists, and interested members to register:

DEFENDING WORKERS POST-JANUS BUILD STRONG UNIONS TRAINING SERIES 
 
On the heels of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Janus V. AFSCME, our movement faces new challenges and attacks. Join the Oregon AFL-CIO, the Northwest Accountability Project and others at a series of trainings in September across the state. 
 
Trainings will include sections on: 
• Freedom Foundation inoculation and response strategies 
• Preparing for difficult conversations at work sites 
• Building skills for one-on-one conversations
