“No Anathema” budget – May 9th, 2017
Through the Budget Development Sub-Committee of the College Council, all of the stakeholder groups worked to identify those budget line items from either the Adminstration’s or the LCCEA’s budget proposals that would be considered detrimental or intensely disliked by any one group on the committee – LCCEA, LCCEF, ASLCC, MSC, and the Administration) – A “No Anathema” budget proposal. Through continued communication, the groups created a balanced budget without these items, each making sacrifices and compromises, yet still working for a common goal. In Budget Development Sub-Committee on 5/9/2017 LCCEA, LCCEF, and ASLCC approved this budget, but the Administration and the MCS did not. The Administration is moving forward with their proposed budget, formed outside of the college governance process.
